Crispy Chicken legs

Ingredients

Chicken drumsticks (small legs) - 400 gms
Oil or melted butter - 3 tbsp
Jeera powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Cinnamon - 2 inch stick (powdered)
Maida - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Egg - 2 (beat well)
Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup

Method

1. Wash the chicken legs and pat dry. Prick with a fork all over each legs. Keep this aside.
2. In a flat bowl, mix oil or butter, jeera powder, coriander powder, cinnamon powder, maida and salt.
3. Into this marinade, add the chicken legs. Mix well so that each legs get coated with the marinade properly.
4. Keep this marinated chicken legs in the fridge overnight or at least for 4 hours. (The longer the marination time, the more flavourful chicken).
5. Beat egg well and add 1/4 tsp red chilli powder and salt to taste. Mix well.
6. Spread bread crumbs in a flat plate.
7. Pre-heat the microwave oven at 200 degree celsius in convection mode.
8. Dip each chicken leg in the egg mixture and then roll it in the bread crumbs. Instead of bread crumbs, you can use crushed corn flakes. It will also taste good.
9. Place it in a baking dish and pour little oil on each legs. Place it in the hot oven.
10. Let it bake for 40 minutes at 200 degree celsius.
11. Once it is 20 minutes take it out and turn the chicken legs and again bake for another 20 minutes or till the chicken is cooked.
12. Crispy chicken leg is ready to be served. Tastes similar to our KFC chicken legs.
